Newport Capo

The G7th Newport 12 String guitar capo is specifically designed for 12 string acoustic and electric* guitars and combines a flip-lever action, a low-profile shape that doesn't get in the way of your fretting hand and our patented Compensated String Pad.

The Compensated String Pad allows all 12 strings to fret at the same time and under the same tension, dramatically reducing tuning problems whilst fretting all 12 strings securely and accurately.

*Not suitable for Rickenbacker 12 string guitars due to the reversed octave string positions.

Quick-release

Improving on existing quick release designs, the Newport flip lever allows you to attach and remove the capo easily and to adjust the tension while in place on the guitar neck.

Compensated String Pad

Our patented Compensated String Pad allows you to fret all 12 strings at the same time and with the same tension by compensating for the different gauges of strings using carefully designed ridges in the silicone string pad.

Safeguard your tone

Maintains the tone of your instrument thanks to our carefully engineered string pads, designed to reduce vibration dampening and loss of tone.

Dial in the pressure

Thanks to the fine-tune adjustment knob, the Newport capo delivers the right amount of pressure to your strings, even over heavy strings, high actions or 12 strings. Spend less time retuning and more time playing!

Internal Silicone Pads

With non-reactive, protective silicone pads at every touchpoint, you can be sure that the finish on your instrument is safe when using a Newport capo.
